Storage on your device

We use localStorage for theme preferences, recent calculations, saved budgets and shopping checklist state where those features are available. These browser records remain on your device until you clear site data. Saving a budget on your device is separate from the calculation records described below.

Calculation records

When you calculate or revise an estimate, we send the calculation inputs, assumptions and results to our server and store them in Supabase, together with the calculator type, source page and time. Print handoffs may also be recorded. These records help us understand calculator use and diagnose problems. Avoid entering personal or sensitive information in a project description.

When an IP hashing salt is configured, the request IP address is stored in calculation records only as a salted SHA-256 hash. It does not store the raw IP address in those records. When the salt is absent, no IP hash is saved.

Aggregate analytics

When configured, Plausible collects aggregate page views and feature events, such as generating a calculation, saving a budget, printing or opening our sister site. We use these measurements to understand overall use of the calculators.

Advertising

No advertising network is connected yet. Empty spaces reserved for possible future ads do not load an ad network or advertising trackers.

Your choices and questions

You can clear this site’s localStorage through your browser settings. This removes device preferences and saved budgets; it does not delete calculation records already sent to the server. For privacy questions or a deletion request, contact us with enough information to identify the relevant record.
